De los tres proyectos que forman la intervención arquitectónica, este es quizá el de mayor calidad debido a la sensibilidad con la que ha sido proyectada la pieza que sirve de ampliación al edificio.

 

El proyecto se basa en la recuperación de un edificio histórico y de su función como biblioteca adecuándolo a las necesidades que actualmente requiere. Uno de los mayores cambios que sufre el conjunto es la abertura posterior del edificio preexistente para conectarlo con la plaza principal del pueblo.

 

Se añade un volumen anexo mediante una crujía que continua el ritmo de luces del edificio histórico. Esta intervención centraliza los espacios servidores y de comunicación vertical en una franja lateral que sobresale en el alzado y que aporta una nueva identidad.

Of the three projects that form the architectural intervention, this is perhaps the one that have the highest quality due to the sensitivity with which the piece that serves as an extension to the building has been projected.

 

The project is based on the restoration of a historic building and its function as a library, adapting it to the needs it currently requires. One of the biggest changes that the set undergoes is the posterior opening of the preexisting building to connect it with the main square of the town.

 

An attached volume is added through a new portico that continues the rhythm of the structure of the historic building. This intervention centralizes the server spaces and vertical communication in a lateral strip that contributes a new identity to the building.
